Today I logged on to my deviant art account for the first time in a while, and looked through my gallery.  It was extremely depressing.  Earlier this year I set out to create a template website, giving away web designs.  The endeavor failed miserably, and I figured that the reason was because I hadn't done a good enough job marketing it.  The truth is, the templates were crap.  But, not knowing enough, or really anything about design, I thought they were awesome.  For shame.  Luckily, since then, I've gotten much better.  But, looking at the gallery today certainly knocked me down a peg.  I've realized that I have no accurate way of judging where I am as far as design goes.  Oh well, I've removed most of the designs that embarrass me the most,  and hopefully soon I'll have a few of my new designs, that hopefully 5 months from now won't embarrass me.  On another note, I have been misspelling embarrass my entire life.
